The Spirit Hall Ice Arena is hosting the annual “Skate Around the Christmas Tree” skate on Christmas Eve from 1 to 4pm. This special event will showcase a lighted Christmas tree placed at center ice, while both traditional and contemporary holiday music is played. Admission is $4.50 for 12 and under and $5.00 for 13 and over. Skate rental is $3. Donate a box of macaroni and cheese or hamburger helper for the council of community services and receive a free skate rental. . .There also will be public skates everyday from 10am to 1-m Monday thru Friday during Christmas break at Spirit Hall. . .The rec center will have special holiday hours for the climbing tower thru Friday, December 30th. The climbing tower will be open for climbers who are not belay certified Monday thru Friday from 1 to 5pm.
