Construction It Up!

Construction It Up

Everyone in Gillette knows how road construction impacts our daily lives. Many travelers are still experiencing the joy of planning their routes to avoid the infamous construction areas that are none-too thinly strewn throughout our city. I have, on countless occasions, been slightly irritated with the whole construction thing. However, one day as I was deeply pondering the value of French fries to a two year old, I was awestruck with the answer to my construction frustration. An announcement came on our local country station, which explained areas throughout the city that were being focused on by construction crews.  Simultaneously, I watched as a poor Flagger tried to direct traffic that did not want to be directed.  I watched people whom were paying little to no attention, people who were paying too much attention (to their cell phones), and people who were aiming to smash the poor gentleman in the yellow and orange apparel.  Upon my two year old finishing his craved fwench fwies I entered traffic and proceeded to be frustrated. I do feel much better now, to be able to direct my road rage in the proper direction.  I must say my apology to the construction crews and our dear City of Gillette who are doing an excellent job of sprucing up our lovely town. However, fellow drivers know that some of you are my pet peeves!
