Things to do in Gillette

Friday, April 27th, 2007

Just because everyone comes here for work does not mean that Gillette is not a fun place to play.  About 1 hour to the West is the Beautiful Big Horn Mountains and about 1 hour to the East is the Keyhole State Reservoir.  Both attractions boast some of the best scenery in the country and plenty of things to do!  Gillette is a decent sized town around a population of about 20,000 or so (depending on the week!).  We have a fair amount of shopping and eating right here in town.  But if you want, Rapid City, SD or Casper, WY are to major hubs within a 2 hour drive of Gillette.  Feel free to talk about what there is to do here in Gillette.  If you have an idea of something fun or nice to do here, please post it!

Gillette WY Real Estate

Friday, April 27th, 2007

The real estate market in Gillette is going gonga right now.  Inflation is at an all time high and sellers are rejoicing while the buyers are squawking!  There are just a few more homes on the market than there was at the same time last year with several major developments underway.  The most comprehensive site for a good list of realtors and information can be found here:

Feel free to leave your comments, ideas and links.  Discussion is welcome.

Welcome to the Gillette WY Blogsite

Friday, April 27th, 2007

This is a blog site for you the public to talk about Gillette, WY and share your opinions, questions and ideas.  Gillette is a booming town with lots of great paying jobs at the coal mines and in the methane fields.  Real Estate is crazy and finding a rental home is next to impossible and is usually very high priced.  Please feel free to comment about your thoughts and give this site some good feedback.  You may also register and write your own posts, but you do not have to be logged in to be able to write comments on this site!  Thank you.
