What’s Happening in Gillette – 12-19-11 thru 12-23-11

The Spirit Hall Ice Arena is hosting the annual “Skate Around the Christmas Tree” skate on Christmas Eve from 1 to 4pm. This special event will showcase a lighted Christmas tree placed at center ice, while both traditional and contemporary holiday music is played. Admission is $4.50 for 12 and under and $5.00 for 13 and over. Skate rental is $3. Donate a box of macaroni and cheese or hamburger helper for the council of community services and receive a free skate rental. . .There also will be public skates everyday from 10am to 1-m Monday thru Friday during Christmas break at Spirit Hall. . .The rec center will have special holiday hours for the climbing tower thru Friday, December 30th. The climbing tower will be open for climbers who are not belay certified Monday thru Friday from 1 to 5pm. The drop in fee is $2.50 for elementary and under, $3 for junior and senior high students and $4 for adults. Equipment rental is $3. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our family to yours!

New construction homes are very popular in the Gillette market right now.  And why shouldn’t they be?  There are a number of very reputable builders offering great floor plans, quality construction, and very reasonable prices.  Couple this with the record low interest rates, and you can get a great deal on a brand new home! However, there are also some things you need to watch out for.

While there are some great builders, there are also a few builders offering an inferior product.  These homes are not always apparent to those who have not dealt directly with new construction in our area.  The last thing a buyer wants to do with a new construction home is be taken advantage of, whether it’s on purpose or by mistake.

We have dealt with a large amount of new construction over the past few years and have the knowledge and persistence to make sure our clients get the most for their money.  We have recommendations for certain builders have worked well for our clients in the past, as well as strong cautions for the builders that have burned our clients.

If you would prefer to donate money, Rec Center staff will shop and deliver presents to children not adopted by a Secret Santa.
